Features may include manual entry, document upload, AI-assisted parsing, grade calculations, and reminders. The service is provided as-is and may change as we add, remove, or improve features.
3. User Accounts
You may need to create an account to use certain features. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information and notify us promptly of any unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Syllaboy lawfully and responsibly. You must not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt to access data that is not yours, introduce harmful code, or use the service to violate any law, school policy, or third-party right.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you upload or enter, such as syllabi, assignments, grades, and notes. You grant Syllaboy a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the service to you. You should only submit content you have the right to use.
6. AI-Assisted Features
Some features use artificial intelligence to parse documents or generate responses. These outputs are produced from the materials and data you provide and should be reviewed for accuracy. Syllaboy does not guarantee that AI-generated information is correct or complete, and you remain responsible for verifying academic decisions.
7. Subscriptions and Billing
Syllaboy may offer free and paid plans. Paid subscriptions are billed according to the terms shown at checkout and renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel through your account or payment provider. Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable law and the terms presented at purchase.
8. Intellectual Property
The Syllaboy name, logos, design, code, and other materials provided through the service are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from them without our permission.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, abuse the service, or if we need to do so for legal, security, or operational reasons. Some provisions will survive termination, including those related to ownership, liability, and governing law.
10. Disclaimers
Syllaboy is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any results are accurate or reliable for your specific academic situation.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Syllaboy and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred dollars if you did not pay.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Syllaboy operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these terms will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service as the service evolves. We will post the updated terms on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes may be communicated through the app or by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
